Preparing your return on
TurboTax?
I will review your return for mistakes, omissions and tax
planning opportunities. I have reviewed over 10,000
returns through TurboTax in the past three years including many
complex returns involving like-kind exchanges, stock options,
asset sales, AMT, K-1's, foreign earned income, foreign tax
credit etc. I find errors on the vast majority of returns
that I review. Don't feel secure no matter who prepared
your return; many tax professionals outsource their tax return
preparation to India or other dubious sources. The CPA journal estimated that in
2004, nearly 200,000 tax returns were prepared in India.
In addition, the vast majority of tax professionals only
prepare taxes 3 months per year and their only experience is
with simple returns. I have experience with virtually
every tax situation imaginable.
You simply e-mail your return to me in PDF format.
For TurboTax users, follow the steps below to e-mail your return
to me. If you are using software other than TurboTax or if
your return was done by a professional, you may need to
mail a
copy of the return to me.
Open your original return and click the File menu and then
click "Save As". Save the return with a new name, this will
make
a copy of your original return. If you have concerns
regarding your personal information, you can remove personal
information such as banking information and even change your
names if you wish. You can change your social security numbers
but make sure they are valid.
Click the File menu and click "Save To PDF". In the
dialog box, note where the PDF file will be saved or click the
change button and change the location to the desktop. I
would recommend changing the location to the desktop as this
will make it easier to find the file.
Attach the PDF file to an e-mail and send
to
